Open Service Animal Registry

A clear path from registration to record.

Start free. Share only what is needed. Keep your information current.

1. Create your account

Confirm your email and sign in to your private handler dashboard.

2. Build your animal’s record

Choose Service Animal or Working Dog, enter animal details, and select general trained task or work categories. Your draft saves as you go.

3. Make your attestations

Review and explicitly accept the statements about training, accuracy, and the limitations of this voluntary registry.

4. Choose your privacy settings

Hide your name, show a first name and last initial, or show your full name. Task categories are hidden by default.

5. Share a QR credential

An active record receives a permanent record number and a random public verification URL. A QR code opens that record without revealing private account information.

6. Maintain your record

Update details, reconfirm attestations, and mark retirement or archival when appropriate. Optional handler identity and animal training-source verification are available from day one for service animals, with nominal fees to cover OSAR’s costs.
